10 things you didn't know about Sylvie Meis

I used to race every Wednesday to the cigarette store to buy the new Grazia to read Sylvie's column (I take it she wrote it hersel). I'd enjoy her weekly diary so much: photo shoots left, new lingerie line right, Raf here, Raf there, decorating the house for Christmas, wedding in Italy, glass of champagne, new hair, fresh purchases. Her life was too good to be true. And I of course knew that she'd to cry every now and again, or that she had an off day, but, obviously, that wasn't written down. Sylvie, I still think you're a lovely person, I haven't ever caught you wearing something horrible, I'd like to confiscate the entire contents of your closet (though preferably in a size bigger), and I felt for you tremendously. You've been through a whole lot.

It was quiet around Sylvie for quite some time, but now she's back. And how. PRettier than ever on the cover of Vogue. And she talks about her life for the first time. A couple of things we didn't know about Sylvie. Here they are:

She always hated it when it said ‘soccer wife’ in the magazines. ‘How can they say that about me, I've presented for millions of people, I've died a thousand deaths.”"

She did pre-university education

She has a hard time looking at herself on TV.

She'll never ever fall for a footballer again. Sylvie had a hard time adjusting to a footballer's life. “Someone else determines when they're allowed to talk or not when they're training. They decide what's for breakfast or what time they should go to bed. They're put in a bus and driven from here to there. Like they can't think for themselves.”

Sylvie has cried often over that fateful evening during New Year's Eve because she didn't know what to do next.

Regrets not having been more open with the press. “I had to clarify things way sooner.”

It looks like Sylvie's life's directed from the get-go. She likes to be in control, but she's definitely not planning all her PR moments.

Sylvie has had an eating disorder since secondary school.

She regrets wearing the ‘Bitch’ t-shirt as a result of Sabia bad mouthing her.

Damian sleeps in Sylvie's bed ever since the divorce.
