4x sportproof hair

This morning I took a lap around Vondelpark. I had a hood on so I quickly fiddled a low bun in my neck so that no stupid bump stuck out of my head. While running I noticed that my hair stayed damn well in place. Nothing is more annoying than constantly pulling at my ponytail or having to redo my bun on my head while running because it has come loose. Oh, how hard it is for women, right?.

I give you four hair ideas that I think keep your hairstyle perfect during a workout. And it also looks nice.

Tip 1: make sure you have a good elastic band, not one of those incredibly weak ones that you have to wrap around your hair ten thousand times and eventually snaps.

 The low bun

Now really my favorite. Usually, I had one on top of my head, but from the back-and-forth bouncing when I run or during boxing where you move a lot, a bun often comes loose quickly. If you twist it low in your neck, it stays much more secure and can't slip down anymore. Do it just above your neck, then you have less sweaty hair and such.

Headband and clips

You can use this with any hairstyle for any loose strands that hang in front of your face, very annoying. It's quite a task (at least for me) to find the right one, because some give you a headache quickly or slide off your head. I always find it important that it is nice and wide and has a rubber anti-slip edge. That stays perfectly in place. You can also always use some bobby pins to secure the band even more.

Braiding

Some people can do this themselves. I absolutely cannot, but luckily I have May-Britt who can do it incredibly well, so I have a perfect workout hairstyle for the evening. This is incredibly sturdy and almost can't come loose.

Ponytail with braid

Make a very tight high ponytail with a strong elastic band. Then braid your ponytail and use a strong elastic at the end again. This is also one that stays incredibly well in place and has a very high Lara Croft factor, and she is cool.
