They should have long since crawled into the models' retirement home behind a dry geranium, but Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, Nadja Auerman, Naomi Campbell, and Stephanie Seymour are simply too beautiful to not appear on a cover anymore.

When Luigi Murenu called (well, he didn't actually call himself, but it sounds so cozy and homey) to ask if they all wanted to be on the cover of the September issue of Vogue Japan, they eagerly got out of bed.

Luigi Murenu is one of the biggest hair stylists. He was the one who created the memorable hairstyles from Madonna's heyday and styled a battalion of celebrities. Think Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, and I could go on for a good quarter of an hour.

He has been the head of the cabin for the big shows for years. Think Gucci, MaxMara, Armani. Because a creative person wants more, more, most, Luigi has taken up photography. Together with his friend Lango, who had been doing it longer.

The duo is well-received because you don't just get booked for the most important cover of the year. Luigi delivered a great picture and, since he is not one to shy away from work, also did the girls' hair. Nice, right?
