AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK

Here at Amayzine HQ, we are busy with New York Fashion Week, but we must not forget that today ‘our own’ designers are in the spotlight because today the Amsterdam Fashion Week begins. Or well, the downtown part. For ten days you can indulge in publicly accessible fashion festivities spread throughout Amsterdam. For example, tomorrow an exhibition with Fong Leng opens at the Amsterdam Museum. On Tuesday, you can go to the Ketelhuis for fashion films selected by students from AMFI, and on Sunday the 9th you should head to concept store Hutspot on Van Woustraat for a day full of art, fashion, and music. But we haven't even talked about the shows yet. On Thursday, the pride of the Netherlands, Mattijs van Bergen, will kick things off, and until Monday, January 27, we will see collections from among others Jan Boelo, Ready to Fish by Ilja Visser, Tony Cohen, Edwin Oudshoorn, and Spijkers en Spijkers.
