OUR BOYS IN PARIS

After the handiwork of Schiaparelli, Dior, Chanel, and Gaultier, it was Viktor&Rolf's turn last night at eight o'clock. Last year they breathed new life into their couture branch after a period of thirteen years of rest. Last night was at least as spectacular as the impressive mindfulness show from last year. Again there was meditation, but now just back instead of on stage and now half an hour in advance instead of during.

The models were replaced by ballerinas. Just as slender and these ladies mastered the pointe shoes. We saw many skin-colored dresses with tattoo prints, understated and provocative. Pat McGrath was the head of the makeup team and Luigi Murenu booked Ilham Mestour and Rachel Geerman for the hair. In between frizzing the hairstyles, Rachel photographed a nice backstage report.

“Speechless” was a widely read reaction on Twitter. Rightly so because the show, hair, makeup, and ballerinas…everything was equally beautiful. Without words but with a healthy appetite was our Rachel. Afterward, she enjoyed a distant de vin and a French fry. Today she is taking the train home again to provide us ordinary mortals with a front-row seat.
