It's May vacation, and I'm enjoying a week in Berlin. Nice, right, only the sun isn't shining. I hope for you that you are packing your bag, uh, suitcase, to enjoy a week of sunshine. To make it easier for you, here's the checklist of beauty items that definitely need to be in your bag. Not only very nice, but also quite useful.

Checklist

1. Since the sun hasn't shown its best side here yet, I recommend you start applying self-tanner. Not because you'll be protected, certainly not, but because you can immediately integrate into the local population of the sunny place. At least you won't be left out. This cream is for the face, but they also have one for the body so you can fully embrace that sunny color.

2. Yes, it's true, your hair can burn too. Just spray it before you go into the sun and you won't come home with a bunch of straw on your head.

3. Before the vacation, go to the manicurist to get a nice gel polish on your nails, which ensures you three weeks of well-groomed nails and lasting color. Or, if you, like me, enjoy some variety, bring along some pretty colors. OPI has colors that last long and won't disappear with the first layer of chlorine and sun. They also have mini bottles, 14 ml, quite handy, because then you can take more with you and thus switch more often.

4. To avoid stepping out of the water looking like a panda bear, a good mascara is a must. Waterproof, of course. With this one from Clinique, you'll survive every dive.

5. A tweezer is not an unnecessary luxury. No trouble from excess hairs.

6. A very nice sun protection that prevents skin aging and sagging, is waterproof, and matte, so you won't get a shiny forehead. The after-sun care is also nice. It calms, restores, and hydrates. Oh, and it contains bronzing pigments so you can enjoy your color longer.

7. Under the eyes, the nose, and the forehead, these are the spots that burn annoyingly quickly. Just stick it on and you're done. And believe me, this doesn't leave those elegant white battle stripes.

8. Protects like a sunscreen and beautifies like makeup.

9. 3 luxury products in 1. Le jour for daytime, la nuit for nighttime, and le weekend for the weekend, of course. Nice set of the 3 creams in travel size of 15 ml. This way, you can take luxury with you on vacation.
