Morning ritual

“I take my time for my skin and make-up, regardless of how early I have to get up. This is my relaxation of the day. A good cleansing is very important. I cleanse my face with Take the Day Off remover from Clinique, a nice mild cleanser. I further nourish my skin with Lightful with Marine Bright Formula from MAC Cosmetics. Then I always exfoliate, in the morning and evening, my skin with Skin Perfection 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant from Paula’s Choice. I am really crazy about her site Beautypedia. Paula discusses almost all products, making the choice much easier than when you want to purchase a product. After exfoliation, I use a serum from Bobbi Brown, the Intensive Skin Supplement. I finish with a day cream, also from Paula’s Choice. For example, the Moisture Boost Daily Restoring Complex SPF 30 or the Resist Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 25. I always use an SPF during the day because I think it’s important to protect my skin.’

Red carpet essential

“When Lieke walks the red carpet, I think it’s important that the skin looks fresh, glowy, and flawless. You have to be careful with certain products because the camera sees everything.”

Eyebrows or lashes

“Both are very important to me. Eyebrows define the face and eyelashes make your eyes speak more. I never go out without mascara. I find the Volum’ Express from Maybelline New York the most pleasant. I have my eyebrows done. In the past, no one was allowed to touch them, but now I have them done and that is sacred to me.”

Unexpected beauty tool

I have had my eyeliner tattooed. Very thin on or in my upper lash line. Maybe not an unexpected beauty tool for everyone, but I am very happy with it.

Favorite perfume

“I have been using Vanille Abricot from Comptoir Sud Pacifique for years. Sometimes I think I should switch to a new perfume because I can’t really smell it anymore. But as long as I still get compliments about it…”

Never leave home without

“Lip balm and lip gloss. Other must-haves for me are an eyebrow brush and brow gel from Anastasia. In addition, I love shine on the face. That’s why I always wear the Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 Illuminating from Laura Mercier, which has both a nice glow and a good factor.
