Liza Sips acted in GTST at the age of sixteen, where she first sat in the makeup chair every day before filming, so she learned a lot there and prefers to do her own makeup when she walks the red carpet. For the rest, there are all nice tips on how to look like Sips. Very beautiful indeed.
Morning Ritual
When I wake up, I immediately step into the shower. I wash my hair every 2/3 days. I use the Clarisonic every day, a very nice (waterproof) device that I use to massage my facial cells. It is truly the invention of the century; I have such smooth skin and no issues with pimples. Even if I don't use it for a few days, I notice it immediately. After the shower, I use a serum and moisturizer from Clinique and an eye cream from Emergency. It depends on what kind of appointment I have how much makeup I use. If I stay home or have private appointments, I only use a bit of BB cream for my red cheeks, brush my eyebrows neatly, and put on a bit of mascara. I love matte lipstick. A slightly darker color than my own lips. For the rest, I like to keep my makeup as natural as possible.
Eyebrows or lashes
If you had asked me this ten years ago, I would definitely have said eyelashes. As many layers of mascara as possible and preferably a curling iron as well. Now I am really more into eyebrows. I always have mine shaped waxed and dyed a little darker by my beautician. If your eyebrows are well-groomed and the right color, you don't need to do much more to your face.
Red carpet essential
My absolute favorite is to go to the hairdresser Rob Peetoom. Then I let them style it beautifully or blow-dry it. For TV recordings or photoshoots, I like to have my makeup done, but for the red carpet, I prefer to do it myself. Over the years, I have learned exactly what looks good on me. When I have someone else do it, I notice that I quickly take a bit off again, too much or change my lipstick.
Unexpected Beauty Tool
I have a lipstick from Kruidvat, and whenever I wear it, I get so many compliments. Recently, I was in the makeup chair during a press day and had already applied that lipstick myself. All the makeup artists that day were so impressed that they immediately bought dozens of them. It's called the Ultimate Lip Glow – Lip Colour Intensifier and has a transparent color. The lipstick adapts to your own lip color. And even better, it's super cheap.
Most recent beauty purchase
The‘L'Oréal Professionnel SteamPod is a straightener, but steam-powered. So it's not harmful to your hair. It was quite an expensive item, but very much worth it. I used it yesterday, and my hair still looks good, soft, and shiny. It also saves a trip to the hairdresser.
Don't tell anyone but…
I sometimes use the coconut oil that I cook with for my hands. A small dab is enough. It's also fantastic for dry spots on my skin.
Favorite perfume
I switch scents quite a bit. I am a big fan of Cinema by Yves Saint Laurent. I also always have a bottle of Chanel 5 on my nightstand. That always remains a good scent. It is really an evening scent and not for a night out with friends, but rather for a chic dinner.
Never leave home without
I always have lipstick on my lips. If I don't have it on or with me, I don't feel complete. I often have hand cream in my bag because I can't stand dry hands. I also don't leave the house without my makeup bag in case I unexpectedly go out to eat with friends or go dancing. You never know!
