Yes guys, and now Destination Killerbody is in full swing. Last Monday we started with the Innerwave Detox. First a few days of tapering down (rice cakes for lunch and quinoa and vegetables for dinner) and on Friday my juice cleanse started. Jet starts a day later, so when you read this, she is on day 2 and I am on day 3. Just so you know the status. At the moment of writing, it is Friday afternoon and I am almost falling off my chair from the vagueness. For five days we have been taking various supplements daily (Green Kamut, Innerlife, Chlorella pills, Psyllium Husk, and Magnesium sulfate) for detoxing, and you can really feel that. Friday was my first day that I could only drink juices, and I feel quite a bit dizzy, typing a nice piece costs me absurdly much effort. So now quickly moving on to the week in points.

– The training on Tuesday went a bit sluggish. We were both not really into it and didn’t make any progress. I don’t know, sometimes you have that.

– Last Wednesday I had my second to last exam, which means hours and hours in the library. On Monday and Tuesday, I had my nose in the books from early morning until midnight, and I can tell you that studying combined with not eating is quite an impossible task. Studying and bad eating habits just go together. During exam weeks, I easily eat a roll of brown bread a day. Or mints. Or Bastogne cookies. Stroopwafels. SOMETHING.

– But that was not allowed. We ate rice cakes with lean toppings for breakfast and lunch, in the evening 100 grams of fish, 200 grams of vegetables, and two serving spoons of quinoa.

– Jet ran in Westerpark on Monday. In pouring rain. Really. She is quite proud of that, and rightly so. The rain was also fine, “when it rains, there is more oxygen in the air.” Just so you know.

– We both have a huge dip around 3 or 4 o'clock. On the bike home with hunger, but your dinner in the evening suddenly tastes a thousand times better when you crave it like that. Jet especially finds cooking a calming and pleasant activity.

– I have been walking around for days with a huge bloated belly. It really looks like I am 3 months pregnant. We are being assisted by our coach Patrick, and he assures me that this is all part of it and that it will pass on its own. In fact, it is a good sign, my body is busy with a big cleanup.

– All in all, we both feel that something is really happening due to this Innerwave Detox. The detoxing causes all sorts of unpleasant side effects, but we just have to push through. In a week and a half, it will be over again, and we will have a spick and span body, and that’s what we are doing it for.

Until next week!
