WEDDING OF THE YEAR

It's just that our Liesbeth is drinking white wine in Vietnam, otherwise she would have been sitting next to me. Scrolling through the internet or looking at houses on Funda above two million (her favorite hobby) or she would be drooling over the Instagram accounts of Olivia Palermo and her love Johannes Huebl. “I’m in love with both.” She shouts. “With him and with her. What an incredibly sexy beautiful couple that is.” And so she goes on for a while. I get it because my oh my they are also intensely beautiful and also well-dressed. Jet and I sat directly across from Olivia during New York Fashion Week at the Rachel Zoe show and couldn’t take our eyes off her and her stunning posse.

Fortunately, Olivia and Johannes are not the worst and treat us from their Instagram accounts (he 204k followers, she 532k) to an open glimpse into their gold-framed life. Selfies from their first-class seats on the way to St. Barts (I also find that extremely sad) or a nice still life of sunglasses with a palm beach reflected in them or, like this morning, a self-made video in which we see Olivia frolicking with her just-received engagement ring. Let me turn off my cynical side (because that video really goes too far for me) and look forward to the most stylish wedding of the year, beautiful children, and maybe a glamorous divorce afterwards. Oh sorry. I got carried away.
