Burberry spring 2015 ready-to-wear report
If there is one highlight of London Fashion Week it is undoubtedly the Burberry show. This is the show that people fly to London for, even if they live in Shanghai or New York. This is also the show for which it is almost impossible to get tickets, unless you’re a real hotshot. Now we at Amayzine think we are the coolest there is, but the reality is that we are really not big enough yet to get a ticket for Burberry yet. But, a show as big as this also has quite a spectacle outside the show venue, so we asked the taxi driver to take us to Kensington Gardens for a good session of street style photography and filming.
The spectacle we hoped for was present in all its glory. It always sounds like such a stupid cliché, but here it comes: everyone was there. Kate Moss and Cara Delevigne entered arm in arm, Olivia Palermo looked more beautiful than ever, Mario Testino joined in happily, Poppy Delevigne came along with sister Cara, Anna Wintour was of course in the front row, Jourdan Dunn walked the show and Suki Waterhouse closed it.
And we were standing outside. Jet was the video camera chief and captured everyone from head to toe while I handled the photography part. Do you remember that Samsung camera phone (the Galaxy K Zoom to be precise) we took to Shoeless ? That thing worked so well that we asked the ladies and gentlemen at Samsung if we could take it with us to New York and London, and hooray for us, we could! The photos in this report were all taken with that camera phone and I was amazed all day long at how beautifully this phone can photograph. And, best of all, it is so flat that it fits without complaint in Proenza . By the way, the photo of me was not taken by me (duh) but by Victoria from StyleBarista.com. Victoria is a photographer and a loyal Amayzine reader, so I know she’s reading along and I want to thank her again immensely for the photo.
But enough talk, let’s talk pictures and those need no words. Ladies and gentlemen, may we present, street style a.k.a. Burberry-style.
