SHE’S BACK
The sun is shining beautifully bright on my already quite tanned skin, the clear blue water tempts me to take a dip, my fiancé surprises me with a fresh coconut including a glitter straw and cocktail umbrella and then… the alarm goes off. The above dream was briefly reality, but now I am back in cold Netherlands. Together with my love, I traveled for four weeks in Thailand. The trip started off well, because on the first evening he got down on one knee. With a ring, yes. We dined at Sirocco, on the rooftop terrace of the Lebua Hotel. With the most beautiful view over Bangkok, my fiancé spoke a sweet word about how happy he was with me. I thought he was getting up to give me a kiss, but no. The proposal then. I have no idea if other guests around me saw it. I immediately burst into tears, I was so in my own world. It was really our moment.
For four weeks we had an incredibly romantic engagement trip.
Of course, I was looking forward to showing everyone back home my brand new ring, but after a week in the rain, I have already built up a vitamin D deficiency.
Fortunately, there are plenty of more fun things than the weather to focus on. The premiere of the Tuscan Wedding (a dress is being specially designed for me) is in sight and the new series for VARA in which I play the lead role is almost finished. I will show you next week how it turned out. And next week, our capital will be the stage for young and established talent at Amsterdam Fashion Week. I am really looking forward to the first show of Esther Dorhout Mees, Ready to Fish, and Spijkers en Spijkers.
Not bad at all when I list it all like this! Luckily, we can face that cold very fashionably. I just bought a lovely fake fur hat and nice new winter boots from Steve Madden. But it would still be nice to hold on to this tanned color until the premiere next week…. And if not: Thank God for spray tan!
