– The 4 Shadows of Chanel –
DIY: Almond-shaped eyes
The weekend is just around the corner. And of course, you can get started with a bit of red, white, and blue face paint, but if you really want to do it well, stylishly and chic, you naturally choose Les 4 Ombres from Chanel. Eyeshadow palettes with intense colors and high pigments. Liesbeth received a beautiful look created by Judith Neyens, makeup artist from CHANEL. Pay close attention, because then you too will have a royal touch tomorrow. After all, CHANEL is the supplier to the royal court in the world of beauty.
PREPARATION
Make sure your face is completely clean. Even if you were only a little made up today, everything has to come off. You start on a clean skin because that’s where everything works best. Also apply a nice cream, for example, Hydra Beauty Nutrition. This nourishes the skin nicely. Then choose a foundation that matches your skin color. For May-Britt, Judith chose Vitalumiere Aqua 30 beige.
EYEBROWS
For a beautifully done eye, the eyebrows are of ‘vital importance’. First, brush them nicely, then they are immediately in the right shape. From the nose, a little upwards and then along the direction of the hair. Judith used Le Sourcil from CHANEL for Liesbeth. Make your brush a little damp because then you get a nice effect. Start at the base of the eyebrow and make thin strokes, like hairs, then you get the most natural effect. Don’t fill it in completely, but leave a little space in between. When you’re done, brush it one more time.
THE ALMOND-SHAPED EYE
Almond-shaped eyes are already beautiful in themselves, but with the right techniques, you can also highlight them beautifully. For Liesbeth, Judith used les 4 Ombres Tissé Rivoli 226. Pay close attention because now it’s all in the details.
1. Start with the lightest color and apply it to the inner corner of the eye.
2. Then take the darkest color from the palette and apply it halfway through the eye to the end of the eye. This beautifully accentuates the almond-shaped eye. Always start at the lash line and then slowly go upwards. Blend it a little in the crease.
3. For a surprising effect, Judith used a beautiful blue metallic eyeliner: Stylo Yeux Waterproof Bleu Metallique 909. Apply it to the bottom of the lash line, and well into the corner to the middle. The metallic shine really gives a festive touch and also shines beautifully in the sunlight.
MASCARA
The golden tip is to curl your lashes before applying mascara. It seems like a lot of work, but it’s done in five seconds and gives an instant curl. For a dramatic effect (because that’s what we want now), apply Le Volume mascara from CHANEL to the lashes on the top and bottom. With almond-shaped eyes, you should follow the shape of the eyes when applying mascara. A little outward, then. That fits very well with this look.
BLUSH AND LIPS
The look is almost complete. Apply Le Blush Crème de CHANEL Intonation 69 with your fingertips. This blend blends beautifully with the foundation, giving it a very natural effect. With a Rouge Coco Shine on the lips, you really complete the look.
