– The 4 Shadows of Chanel –
DIY: SMOKEY EYE
You surely have a nice Easter weekend ahead. Actually, it still has to start, so today is all the time to practice a bit and then enjoy your skills tomorrow and Monday. Because with a box of 4 Ombres eyeshadow from CHANEL and the makeup tips from their makeup artist Judith Neyens, you will be ready tonight, and actually the whole Easter weekend.
PREPARATION
Make your face completely clean. Even if you were just a little made up today, everything has to come off. After all, you start on a clean skin because that’s where everything works best. Then choose a foundation that matches your skin color. For May-Britt, Judith chose Perfection Lumiere Velvet 20 beige.
EYEBROWS
For a beautifully done eye, the eyebrows are ‘of vital importance’. First, brush them nicely. From the nose a little upwards and then with the direction of the hair. Judith used Le Sourcil from CHANEL for me, and since then we are all fans of it in the editorial office. In no time, you can create the most beautiful eyebrows. It’s a very nice box with three colors of eyebrow powder so you can create your ideal color. For an intense effect, wet your brush a little and sketch all small hairs on your eyebrow.
THE SMOKEY EYE
For a festive and good smokey eye, apply the colors wet. This way you really get an intense effect. For May-Britt, Judith used les 4 Ombres Tissé Cambon 228, a cheerful palette. Pay close attention now because it’s crucial.
1. Dip your brush in some water. Take the darkest color from 4 Ombres and apply it over the entire eyelid.
2. Take the second darkest color from the palette and blend the edges of the darkest color a bit more outward. This way, the transition is nice.
3. Place the lightest color in the inner corners of the eyes and just below the eyebrow. This gives you a really fresh look.
4. With the darkest color, draw a line under the eye. Use a brush, as it can be quite thick so that it really gives a smokey effect.
5. With an eye-liner, create a nice line along the lash line. Stylo Yeux Waterproof Noir Intense 88 has a very intense color. Turn it slightly upwards at the inner corner of the eye, which lifts the eye a bit.
MASCARA
The golden tip is to curl your lashes before applying mascara. It seems like a lot of work, but it’s done in five seconds and it gives an instant curl. For a dramatic effect (because that’s what we want now), apply Le Volume mascara from CHANEL to the lashes on the top and bottom.
BLUSH AND LIPS
The look is almost complete. Because it’s a heavy eye look, it’s nice to choose a cream blush. That’s very natural. Apply it with your fingers, then blend it blends nicely with your foundation. Blush Crème de CHANEL Destiny n°61 is such a color that looks very nice for a fresh blush. The finishing touch is made with a perfect lip color like Rouge Coco n° 48 Sentiment. You set the whole face with les Beiges 10 and you won’t have to worry about it anymore. Off to that Easter breakfast, brunch, dinner. Oh, you’ll be the most beautiful at the table.
