Repair Drink
Today I'm feeling a bit rough behind my desk. I think I just had one glass too many yesterday, during The Evening of Film Music and I immediately get punished for that. The best medicine for a hangover is, besides lying in bed all day of course, a glass of alcohol. That's called a repair drink. And I'm doing that today at The Dylan. For two years, I worked there myself, I developed my cheese fear by the way, but now I love coming there as a guest. In summer in the courtyard and in winter by the fireplace. If you're lucky, Joost is behind the bar. Just say what you feel like and he'll make something special for you. I always feel very much like a queen, because usually before I order anything, I already get something to drink. Joost knows exactly what I like. Not too sweet, can be with gin, lots of ice and preferably the color red. Or I get a green tea in the afternoon.
Below is the recipe for this god-de-lij-ke cocktail, quite a bit complicated, so take your time for this, I'm going to see Joost tonight. Shall I see you there?
– 10 cc Hendrick’s Gin
– 10 cc Martini Rosso
– 10 cc Campari
– Snufje La Fee Orange Bitters
– The Dylan Homemade syrup of Roses and Hibiscus
– 20 cc Sauvignon Blanc Touraine
– 20 cc Pacherenc du Vic-bilh (Petit Manseng)
