And then another week had passed. A week that I started by canceling the training on Tuesday because I had just drunk a bit too much wine the night before. Together with my father, I had gone to the concert of Robbie Williams and that one glass of wine afterwards accidentally turned into a few bottles. Oh well, one training less and a whole fun evening richer seems like a fine balance to me. Before we move on to the week in points, just this. More and more often I encounter people who then ask about the Killerbody project. Especially when they see me eating a cookie / drinking a glass of wine / having candy / carbohydrates or whatever, I get the question “oh, are you allowed to eat that?” As Jet always says, “I can eat anything.” And so it is. That whole messed up thing of you can’t eat anything doesn’t work for me. And not for Jet either. It has to stay fun, we said at the beginning, and we stick to that. Personally, I am also increasingly coming to the acceptance that I simply have a total lack of discipline and I am a terrible sweet tooth. I am not an athlete, I love food too much, cookies make me happy, wine makes me blissfully happy, and I simply enjoy beer too much to realize with every glass that it’s “just like a sandwich with cheese.” The dream and desire for such a perfect body is still there, we are really sickeningly jealous of all those pretty slim girls on Instagram, but the realization that we simply won’t achieve that is becoming more and more present. That said, the week in points.
Where I went a bit wrong on Monday, Jet went spectacularly wrong on Saturday. Her dearest friend is taking a backpack for three months to travel through Asia and that must of course be celebrated. Or rather, processed actually. Processed and drowned. Deep into the night with wine, vodka, and everything in between meant a seriously hungover start to the week. But hey, it was worth it.
I find myself in the kitchen more and more often and this week I made among other things a ‘super quick goulash’ which, if you eat it without potatoes, I think there’s nothing wrong with it.
Jet has discovered RAW Bite bars and they are doing really well as a snack.
The early alarm clock hits us both hard every day. In the evenings, I always look forward to training, but when that damn alarm goes off at 07:00, I just want to throw it out the window and jump after it.
I have exam week coming up (yes, I am still studying at the UvA, it’s a never-ending story but these are my very last six points) and studying often comes with bad eating habits. Usually out of self-pity, because I am literally rotting away in the University Library from 09:00 to 23:45 for the past and coming days (except Saturday due to a wedding). A cookie helps a lot and a whole roll even more.
Monday the detox starts. MONDAY. The WhatsApp group with our coach has been created and the box full of powders and pills is ready. I was and still am terrified.
Until next week!
