SALE! WHERE TO BUY WHICH SHOES AND WHEN?

You probably already know. It's in the air, floating around you, and you can just feel it in everything: the sale is coming. And in some cases, it has even already started. Since a closet full of designer items is quite welcome but a corresponding budget is still hard to find, the sale is your best friend. I currently have quite a lot of expensive stuff in my closet, from my Chloé Paraty to 7 pairs of Giuseppe Zanottis, pumps from Céline, wedges from DvF, dresses from Acne, and jackets from Patrizia Pepe. But, and here comes a confession, I have never paid full price. It's a matter of good timing, stalking, and then striking just in time. Personally, I am especially good at scoring shoes during the sale, so today in Tuesday Shoesday, when does the sale start, and which gems are on our list?.

A Dutch store in the nine streets of Amsterdam. They sell brands like Missoni, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, and Pucci. For those who don't live in Amsterdam, don't panic, the sale starts today and continues online just as fiercely. Favorites are the ankle boots from Givenchy and these eye-catchers from Missoni.

Of course, this cannot be missing from this list because it is the Bijenkorf where I bought most of my shoe splendor. All the Giuseppes and Céline's come from here. In the store, the party starts at 30%, but that slowly but surely rises to sometimes 80%. I practically live next to the Bijenkorf, so I casually walk in every day (seriously), but for those who can't do that, there's of course the web. The sale has already started a bit (dot discount up to 30%), but from June 17, it really kicks off. These übersexy heels from Santoni can certainly charm me, although it will be hard to choose between those and these studded boots from Chloé.

The pre-sale has started with a limited number of items with discounts up to 30%, but mark June 16 in your calendar because then the gates will open and everything will go on sale. On the shelves are brands like Balenciaga, Burberry Prorsum, Balmain, Derek Lam, and Giuseppe Zanotti. These boots from Zanotti (duh) are completely sold out in my size, but I just put myself on the waiting list in the hope that they will be restocked. Otherwise, I will also settle for these booties from Burberry, no problem.

Recently, May-Britt and I had the pleasure of drinking champagne at Shoebaloo and getting a taste of the sale. By now, that sale has long and widely started, and online the most beautiful and best items are displayed with big fat discounts. What do you think of these Aquazurra pearls? Or these super cheerful Charlotte Olympia platform pumps? I mean.

And then there is of course the sale of sales, the magnum opus of sales worldwide. The American version is happening as we speak, and when the European gates will open is still unknown, but it will happen. And soon. So polish your credit card and place it next to your laptop because it could very well be that these sandals from Givenchy could be yours, and you certainly don't want to miss that chance. Or these from Jimmy Choo, already spotted on many famous feet and perhaps also on yours.
