DIY LASHES

I am a natural girl. You can easily see me going out the door without makeup. Often I have exercised in the morning and my blood is still rushing through my cheeks, and I have a twenty-minute bike ride ahead of me, making earthly matters like mascara and eyeliner negligible. Once at the office, I quickly do a touch-up (my basic essentials are a good mascara, currently the Babydoll from Yves Saint Laurent) and a good bronzer (the Beige from Chanel has changed my life) and some lip gloss, and I'm ready. A eye with a nice lash would be the solution because then I can still make a stunning entrance at the office after the gym, shower, and bike ride. That's the goal. I have indeed tried M2lashes and I was quite a fan, but that is also a task I don't accomplish every day. Eyelash extensions were also a treat, but they require a two to three-week update, and since that sometimes gets neglected, I would suddenly be walking around with half-fallen lashes. So I was open to an alternative. Secretly, it had been my dream for years to be treated by Leco, so I rolled out the red carpet when he offered to give us a crash course in eyelash application.,

“Jet is natural. You shouldn't want to add too many bells and whistles because she hardly needs anything. Her skin is healthy with fine pores, and her eyebrows are perfectly shaped. I give her a little prep with a cc cream and work on her face with a large powder brush and a light bronzing powder. My tip to Jet is to especially not forget the neck and décolleté and also to give the nose a dusting for a natural effect. “

“Now we come to the lashes. I have them in many shapes and sizes depending on the wish. For Jet, I advise a not too pronounced lash because that would clash with the rest of her sporty and natural look. Just a better version of herself, that's where we need to go. Therefore, I choose the Audrey for Jet. Very beautiful but much less noticeable than the Sophia (with the illusion of a black eyeliner) or the Twiggy (with a particularly concentrated lash base). When Jet wears the Audrey, I expect everyone to ask her where she bought that fantastic mascara without wondering if she might be wearing fake lashes.”

“And here we go. Spread the glue well over the entire lash. Then wave it back and forth a bit so that the glue dries a little, otherwise it will ‘swim’ on your eyelid. Your eye doesn't need to be completely closed, look down and keep your eye slightly open. Stick the middle of the lash to the middle of your eye and then work towards your nose and then press the last piece of the lash firmly. Hold it still for a moment and then it's done. A child can do the laundry.”

“I must honestly say that I am not very skilled and now I have looked at May-Britt sweetly for an eyelash treatment. But, no offense, she isn't that handy either, and she is now a pro. If she can do it, almost everyone should be able to, and I dare to give it a try. Because I am of course already addicted.” “And Leco... what do you actually think of my hair?”
