Luxury house LVMH wants to expand its roster of designers and has organized a competition for promising fashion designers. The ultimate winner will, besides being an official member of the prestigious conglomerate, be coached by LVMH for a year. They will also receive €300,000 to make a good kickstart with their business.

More than a thousand designers have participated and the jury will announce the winner on May 28, 2014. Photographer Patrick Demarchelier, net-a-porter founder Natalie Massenet, Corso Como owner Carla Sozzani (indeed sister of), Carine Roitfeld, Linda Fargo from Bergdorf’s, and makeup artist Pat McGrath. The participants are also not entirely unknown. Most have already showcased during various fashion weeks and Vika Gazinskaya is often seen with good friend Miroslava Duma.
