Happy hair by Sheri Lussier

Sheri Lussier ensures that the models at the shows of Michael Kors always happy and healthy walk around. At least, they have to do the walking themselves and Michael will provide them with a nice look, Sheri ‘does’ the hair. Sheri herself is never in the picture, but makes sure that the models look great. On Graziadaily she revealed her tips and her best-kept secrets. Which are no longer secrets now, because we are sharing them with you.

What is important for the undone look?

“A bed head is officially chic. But the secret is dustpowder for texture. Don't be too stingy with it. Use a lot on your scalp as a base, and then shake it through your hair. For extra texture, use it on the ends as well. You can also just use dry shampoo, because that always works.’’

How often should you actually wash your hair?

“Let it be clear that you really should not wash your hair every day. If you wash your hair well with hot water, you can easily wait four to five days before you reach for the shampoo shampoo again. You only need a little bit of shampoo. If you use enough water, it will still do its job. If you have long hair, wash it at the roots and let the shampoo naturally reach the ends. Don't scrub hard, that's really a waste.”

Which trend is it all about?

“At Oscar de la Renta it's all very minimalistic, streamlined, and clean. A classic look. It really needs to look very sleek, so use a good serum and an amazing hairspray to finish it off.”

What is your secret?

“Want a DIY mask? Then wash your hair, use a little bit of conditioner and grab a handful of honey. Let it sit in your hair for thirty minutes to an hour and then rinse it out. Your hair feels like silk.”

Everyone is raving about coconut oil. Should we?

Coconut oil is very good for the hair. Just like olive oil. Do realize that oil and water don't mix, so always use your shampoo first and then a little oil. It shouldn't get greasy either.”

Which three hair products should we always have and keep?

“Always have some kind of paste on hand that gives your hair texture. A wax, a gel, or something else that creates a bit of structure. Warm it up in your hands first and then apply it for the best result. Elnett hairspray should always be with you. It keeps things in check or gives it a lot of volume. And a dry shampoo. Always a dry shampoo.
