Strike a pose

Everything is subject to trends. Fashion of course, food (when you order guacamole with nachos you do feel a bit silly, right? And mint tea suddenly seems so over) but also the poses that fashion people adopt for the front row change every fashion week. Initially, the focus was mainly on and profile (for a slim effect) at the Dior show, truly half of the present VIPs posed with crossed legs. What it does for you exactly? I'm not sure yet. It definitely makes you look small and vulnerable and small and vulnerable = thin, so good. Now let's just hope that someone of the stature of André Leon Talley or Suzy Menkes doesn't walk by and give you a swat because then small and vulnerable suddenly becomes a lot less glamorous.
