HOW TO HANDLE AUTUMN TRENDS
A workout for every item
With an oversized boyfriend shirt, I never have to worry too much, but when suddenly the crop top is all the rage, I get really anxious.
This winter, you'll fit right in with a mini skirt, but it really looks better with toned legs. By the way, you also need those to walk decently. high heels I haven't even mentioned the wide belt that is one of the must-haves for the upcoming season. Hello wasp waist. Work to be done.
Every trend comes with a certain workout. Here they come:
You can also call it a belly top. This winter, it's also seen a lot with a long sweater underneath. Very simple, work those abs. Download the 30 days ab challenge on your iPhone and do them diligently every day. Also, not a luxury, buy a ball for home. You can do an incredible amount of exercises with it. Look, I'm also a big fan. Abs in the making.
It's also necessary to do cardio. So regularly run a lap. And don't stop after fifteen minutes. No, at least half an hour.
With thick tights, you can hide a lot. A little bulge here and there. No panic, I have them too. And yes, I hate them. With clean eating, you can get quite far. Not too many fatty things and no added sugars. Drink plenty of water and go to the sauna now and then, it's good for circulation. When you're in that 80-degree box, massage your legs well. That helps reduce fat accumulation (because that's cellulite). No matter how thin or thick you are. Almost all women have to deal with it.
Okay, now those legs also need to be a bit slim, of course. Yes, there they are, the squats and lunges. I really find them disgusting to do, but these exercises really change your body. There are also handy apps for this. The 30 day’s lunges app and 30 day’s squats app. The whole package, every morning.
A sleeveless dress or top can't be worn by everyone and certainly not at every age. Unless your name is Madonna or Anna Wintour, but they work out daily and Anna is on the tennis court every morning at the crack of dawn. I'm still not entirely sure if I find such muscular arms (at that age) sexy.
But to be fair, it's not flattering when those flabby arms come out of a nice top. So slim arms. But this needs to be trained for.
Exercise 1:
Stand with your back to a bench or chair, bend your knees, and place your arms behind you on the bench or chair. Keep your knees bent and push yourself up. Do 3 sets of 30 reps. This trains your triceps. Say goodbye to the flabby arm.
Exercise 2:
Stand with slightly bent legs at hip-width. Hold a weight in both hands. You can choose the weight yourself. If you don't have weights at home, take (full!) water bottles. Raise your hands with the weights up to shoulder height. Try to hold this for a minute. Then make small circles for another minute.
Exercise 3:
Pulling up on a bar. Be careful, the shower rail will absolutely not hold, but if you come across a climbing frame while jogging, there's plenty of room for that. Or in the gym, of course. This exercise is tough, but a gift for the biceps. And the more you do it, the easier it gets. Just try it.
Yep, you need a slim waist for that. Of course, you can squeeze into a corset (which I think Kim Kardashian does every day), but it's more fun to buy a hula hoop. Put on some nice music and spin dozens of circles every day. It looks easy, but this is serious business. I absolutely cannot do this, for example. I don't know if it's due to my flexibility or if I just haven't tried hard enough yet. After the hula hoop, a bit of yoga is also very good. And who knows, carrying a lot of bags (shopping, that is) might also help train those arm muscles.
