As I told you yesterday, I was in New York this week for the Jenny Peckham show. This brand is known to most as the purveyor of the most beautiful wedding dresses, but also on the red carpet, a dress by Jenny Peckham is a welcome sight. In this show, we saw a lot of downright beautiful dresses that are reason enough to really go catch that prince. The inspiration for the show was unmistakably Marilyn Monroe. “She’s still so relevant, what she wore doesn’t date,” the designer says. Marilyn was reflected in the clothing, but she was most recognizable in the hair, big wavy shiny sexy hair. It oozes glamour, has Hollywood all over it, and is especially very, very attractive. A favorite was a yellow strapless dress and the aubergine-colored pantsuit with embellishments on the chest. Marilyn would have been proud.
