Many stars venture into projects that are far outside their core business over time. Out of boredom? Or with a purely business sense? Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera each launched their own perfume. Closer to home was Dr. Dre, who lent his name to headphones. Gwyneth Paltrow wrote a cookbook and the Kardashian sisters designed a clothing line.
I have been crazy about my own perfume for years, so I won't quickly try something else, but music sounds pretty good out of those Dr. Dre Beats. I have also made something (delicious) from Gwyneth. I’ll let the Kardashian line pass me by for now if you don’t mind.
But now this: Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, and Roberto Cavalli are opening their own hotel or restaurant. Look, now I'm awake. I find this interesting. That a designer, used to dressing people, then dresses houses to ultimately furnish hotels, I understand.
Let me spend all my money on staying in beautiful places around the world. It can also be in a small hut on a tropical beach or on the heath, you know. But I sleep extra well in a mega comfortable bed with pillows and a duvet you can sink into.

Shopping and sleeping at Giorgio

You could already dry yourself with an Armani towel in Dubai, but now you can also do that in Milan, the city where Giorgio was born. He himself says that this hotel is a love letter to his favorite city. And well, Milan is also THE city of fashion, so it doesn't surprise me that you have to reserve a room at Giorgio well in advance. On the ground floor of the hotel is a huge flagship store of Armani and above you can sleep in one of the 95 rooms and suites, of course equipped with fitness areas and a spa section. Everything looks super sleek, a lot of gray and white. Very fresh.
On the seventh floor a restaurant with a view of the Duomo.

Cheers with Donatella

In Dubai, yes where else, is the Palazzo Versace. Lots of frills, soft colors, ornaments, you immediately recognize the Versace style. Donatella also sleeps there regularly, which could be a reason to spend a night here. I would be curious to see what she looks like in real life. Especially in a bikini.
You pay a fortune for a room in this palace, but hello, you also find free bottles of perfume in your room.

Karl and Choupette have big plans

He has previously designed luxury suites for the posh Hotel de Crillon in Paris. But now Karl Lagerfeld is working on his own hotel in Macau - located in Southeast Asia under China. We still have to wait a bit, as it will only open in 2017, but well, then we can start saving a little. Read here, how I hope it looks.

Dining at Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli doesn't have a hotel, but he does have an outdoor restaurant in Ibiza. Hysterical! A lot of animal prints, as you would expect from him. Extravagant chandeliers hang everywhere and you eat with golden cutlery from golden plates. You have to love it. There's a good chance you'll encounter some stars here, as they love to eat at Roberto's. After dinner, you can also dance. Just assume that you must order at least a bottle of Dom Perignon, or a bottle of Cavalli's own Vodka (yes, he has that too), otherwise you won't really fit in.
