When we receive a package at the editorial office from DC (Dijksman Communicatie), we are already happy in advance. There is often a wonderful scent from one of the brands that DC represents. We are in love with it, they are in love with it, because they choose the brands very consciously. Last week we received, for example, Flora by Gucci, for our 1-year anniversary. Karin Dijksman is the woman behind DC. Also someone to fall in love with, because she is a beautiful and lovely woman. Today she shares her beauty tips.
 

Morning ritual

“When I wake up, I usually splash some water on my face. In terms of skincare products, I use different brands like Comfort Zone, Clarins, and Nivea. I almost hesitate to say it, but in the evening I wash my face with water and soap. My mother always does that too, and her skin is still so beautiful. I want that too.’

5 minutes make-up

“In five minutes, I can definitely do my makeup. My essentials? As a base, I always use the concealer from Dolce & Gabbana, which unfortunately is not yet available in the Netherlands. Or actually, luckily not yet available, because that way I can still keep it just for myself. Additionally, I use the Vitalumière Compact Douceur foundation from Chanel, which is a beautiful powder foundation. Furthermore, I use the Babydoll Mascara from YSL and the ‘stylo yeux waterproof‘ eyeliner from Chanel. Nr 20, because it stays incredibly well and lip gloss (nr. 50) from Max Factor.’

Eyebrows or lashes

“I pay a lot of attention to eyelashes. I don’t have full eyelashes myself, and I find it beautiful when the eyelashes are nice and well-groomed. It should look natural, without noticeable extensions. My girlfriend Marvy Rieder has eyelashes that are 3 centimeters long even without mascara, unbelievable! Let alone when she puts on some mascara.”

Favorite perfume

“At the moment, I am crazy about Ma Vie by BOSS. When I use this scent, I immediately feel happy.”

Nails

“I would love to paint my nails every week, but I often neglect it. I have very little patience and calm to let them dry. I love the colors from Chanel and OPI, especially dark purple, dark blue, and deep red. I would actually like to hire a personal nail stylist who comes to do my nails every week… how chic would that be? Just need to save up a bit more.”

Beauty treatment

“I very rarely book a beauty treatment, but no more than twice a year. I usually book it when I am on vacation. It happens more often that I get a massage, which I really love. I had a wonderful massage last week at Akasha, the spa of the conservatory Hotel. ”

Never leave home without

“Haha, paracetamol, I always have that with me! In terms of beauty products, I always carry a lip gloss with me.”
