Last week, the Marc by Marc Jacobs store organized a little get-together. The new collection had arrived, so it was time for some fun. To my shame, I hadn't been there yet, which is remarkable because I am in love with the Utrechtsestraat and a fan of anything Marc. When I said goodbye to the Marie Claire editorial team, I gave everyone a heart necklace that I bought at the Marc store in Paris.
Of course, I fell in love with the collection. The jeans were all calling to me, and I bought a badkini (or whatever you want to call it) where the front is a swimsuit and the back is a bikini. Ideal for me because a. I quickly get a rash on my sternum and that is now covered, and b. I have three daughters who run in all directions, so I need to be able to move like an octopus on the beach and in the water. With the risk of multiple nipple gates. But my back is getting very nicely tanned this way.
Where was I? Today's look. Right. This dress immediately caught my attention, and I thought it was a perfect outfit to wear when I had bar duty at Boulevard. So it happened. It is comfortably loose, cool, simple with a sleeve of perfect length. The parrot is just a funky little extra that pulls the dress out of the ordinary. The leopard pumps are from Gucci (they feel divine) and you already know the jewelry. Tank from Cartier watch, Cartier rings, and bracelet from Fendi. My earrings are from Isabel Marant, the little star is from Bodes and Bodes.
The dress is now for sale at Marc by Marc Jacobs.
