When I put on my skinny jeans and the Acne sweater I bought in Antwerp yesterday, my five-year-old daughter looked at me for about five seconds. “I don’t need that sweater when I grow up.” Clearly. This five-year-old has already put together a clear wish list for the future. My floral dress from Moschino, all my mother’s bags, although she can have the blue Prada for her sister. I wonder where she gets it from, huh? Probably from her father. But a loose-fitting Acne sweater is something she can skip for now. Normcore is not really her style.

On Wednesday evening, Olcay Gulsen hosted a cozy thank you dinner in her store on Leidsestraat. After delicious burrata and truffle pasta, we were allowed to browse among the racks. This blazer that I use as a dress just happened to end up in my bag when I left. And you know how it goes with new things, I had to put it on immediately, of course. Now just waiting for the judgment of the five-year-old fashion agent. She looked, pondered for a moment, and gave a thumbs up. This dress from SuperOJ will be part of the inheritance.
