CANDY STORE

This week the sun has shown itself for a bit. And we have felt that. The coat was worn open, the sunglasses were on, and there was color on the street again. For makeup artists, the sun actually always shines. They prefer to be busy day in and day out with colors, painting the lips red, the cheeks pink, and adding a little glitter here and there. Whether the sun is shining or not, it can't be crazy enough. Well, on other people, I mean, because most makeup artists I know only wear a cream with SPF and some mascara. But okay, that was a slight side-step.

Sometimes I also have a moment where I suddenly crave bright pink lipstick or some color on the eyes. It's a very sporadic thought, so it rarely happens. But I must admit, now that I've seen the new collection from MAC Cosmetics, I'm really itching to pick up the brush again. That collection is like a candy store full of beauty.

The base consists of pastel-colored pigments, so the build-up starts gently. Beautiful eyeshadow palettes in green and pink shades. The pink-colored lipstick shades and for the real daredevil, high-gloss lip gloss add a bit more spice. Sounds good, right? I'm just not there yet, because I haven't mentioned the cherry on top. I'm particularly impressed by the pigment pots that are in the collection. Shimmers in violet, raspberry pink, and pastel green with a nice little glitter. Looks like delicious sour candies. And those eyeliners, in a bright green and intense purple. Really, it all looks good enough to eat.

Still, I think it might be a bit too intense for me, as a seasoned nude girl. Although that mascara, it has a too cool purple glitter edge and a pink cap. The color is just black, but I have to bring out the peacock in myself somehow?
