I am a bit jealous of Linda. I would love to have this little baby in my closet. The jealousy grows when I hear that this is not the only Chanel she owns. Sigh. She bought this last winter in Paris. ‘It was just a matter of closing my eyes and, hup, my credit card through the machine.’
The Bag
‘I really love Chanel. I gifted myself this little bag. I have a slightly smaller version in lambskin, but this patent leather one stays so beautiful, no matter what I do with it. It's so nice that it's a small model, I wear it all day and always have my phone within reach.‘.
Are you careful?
‘I am very neat with my bags, they all hang on a ladder in my walk-in closet. Never ever do I put them on the floor, let alone throw them in a corner when I get home. I also have two dogs, so I always have to be careful where I put my bag, otherwise they will play with it. And you understand, that drives me crazy.’
What do you always carry?
‘Not much fits in it, but that makes it very manageable. I always have my phone, wallet, lip gloss, keys, and a nail polish with me. When I switch bags, I can transfer the contents in one go. Often I also have a larger bag with me for work that holds my laptop.’
Tell me, is it true, does a good bag really open doors?
‘Of course, I notice the difference when I walk into a store in jeans and a regular sweater or when I wear something fancy and have my Chanel bag with me. I find that ridiculous. So I don't benefit from it, you know. I just wear what I feel like and I always want to be well helped. I do enjoy that I always receive a lot of compliments about the bag. Wherever I am.’
Do you prefer classic or more trendy?
‘I love the mix. That's why this bag is so super. It's a classic model and by combining it with jeans and a T-shirt, you elevate everything. In one go, you look fashionable. How easy is that for the busy person.’
Wishlist
‘At the top is a Gucci Bamboo bag and a black Birkin bag. That's just a really cool bag. But well, that will take a while (especially the last one will take ages), because I still need to recover from this last purchase.’
