This is Karlijn, friend of the show and founder of Friends of the Brands. With such a busy job as hers, with many appointments outside the door, you need a good bag. So she has one and this is all in it.

How many bags do you have?
Phew, I think about 12 to 15 of which 4 are used monthly.

How did you get this beauty??
I bought it last March at Theresa, a store in Munich linked to the webshop MyTheresa. The simple design and the absence of flashy logos or hardware made the difference. I came, saw, and conquered my Marni J.

What does a bag do for a woman?
A bag is a piece of your identity. It's important that I feel love for it, since I drag my upgraded suitcase everywhere and have to keep an eye on it all the time.

What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?
I am reasonably organized. I prefer to work with different pouches within the larger whole. A pouch with my lipsticks and glosses, a pouch with pills and items for monthly discomforts, and a mini bag with travel-size creams. in case of emergency.

What do you always carry in your bag?
A brush, sunglasses, massage voucher for the Chill Out Spa, toothpicks, my own Yogi tea bags, retainer case, sunscreen, earplugs, hand cream, HTC smartphone, and my wallet.

If a woman could only have one bag, which would it be?
Then I go for a charming hobo bag that holds a lot but is secretly terribly elegant.

Do you prefer trendy or classic? And does a bag also need to be practical?
I go for a classic, and practical, yes very much! Preferably a large leather tote. Because I am tall and slender, I find that a funny contrast in my silhouette.

And lastly, is there another one on your wishlist? Which one?
Certainly. We must always keep dreaming. I hope to one day acquire a Bottega Veneta. What a lot of money but what a beautiful bag!
