When we recently welcomed Saar at our 1st anniversary party Liesbeth and I were immediately incredibly jealous of her hair. So much and so long and with a volume that we would never ever achieve. Maybe you want to explain again how you do that Saar, but let's talk about your bag now.
How many designer bags do you have?
“That's easy, just one. My CHANEL Boybag.”
How did you get this beauty?
“Received it for my birthday. It's my first real big bag. I've wanted this for a long time, but this black version was hard to get. In Singapore, we finally managed to score it.‘
Why this one?
“CHANEL is definitely a brand that I find very beautiful, but I'm also a bit edgy and this bag is that, but still very feminine.”
What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?
“I really throw everything in it. It's a medium size, so not much can fit in. That's handy because then you don't take much with you. At least, my wallet doesn't fit in it anymore, so all my cards go loose in the bag. Very chic.”
What do you always carry in your bag?
“Well, at least seven different things for my lips. I have no idea why, I always throw one in thinking there isn't one in there yet.”
And do you throw it in the corner when you get home or does it have its own shelf?
“Definitely, this bag has a fixed spot on the bar in my new house (I just moved, by the way). It actually stands out quite prominently there, but no way is it going to sit on the floor. I have to take good care of it.”
What does a bag actually do for a woman?
“It's very essential. Since I've had this thing, you see a lot more people looking. It doesn't matter how your outfit looks, with such a bag you instantly elevate the whole thing. And I always find it nice when I step into a CHANEL boutique and already have a piece with me. It just feels better.”
Should a bag also be practical?
“I first look if I find a bag very beautiful. Practical? No. My planner doesn't even fit in this boy anymore. My next bag might be a bit bigger.”
Ah, you probably have one on your wishlist.
“Of course. The Sac du Jour from Saint Laurent.”
