DELICIOUS WORK-OUT SONGS FROM THE FITGIRLS
I seriously sometimes let a round in Vondelpark slip because I can't find my earbuds or realize that my phone only has 4 percent battery left. Running without music I find seriously no fun at all. In fact: I also can't keep it up for very long. During, for example, the race last Sunday, where there were a ton of people cheering you on, I have music in my ears. I have different playlists on my Spotify. Names of my playlists are for example: work it baby, run run run, autumn, nice running and hard as hell. There are also days when I train to some slower music. I love that. Somewhere on an endlessly long path with Racoon or Jamie Woon (loudly) in my ear. I still remember that I once completely fell on my face because Marco Borsato just hit a high note and I also stepped it up, but missed the pine cone on the road just over my head. Ahem, am I revealing too much now? I think so.
Okay, I'm going to share some new delicious work-out songs with you and because I'm sometimes a bit tired of my own list, I've also asked friends from Amayzine for their favorite song that makes them train a bit harder. Here they come:
I personally find this a really nice list to start a long run with:
Clean Bandit – Rather be
Becky G – Shower
Duke Dumont- I got u
Anouk Bos, Owner of the coolest site creators of desire goes really well with reggae and sexy songs. On the track She doesn’t mind by Sean Paul and No church in the wild by Kanye West she gets a lot of energy to sweat even more.
Esmée Noëlle van Rijn is quite the fit girl. You can follow her on her own blog Work That Es. While training her abs, Esmee likes to listen to ‘gangster music’ like: Krazie Bone with the track I’m a monster or M.I.A. who sings Bad Girls.
Francine Regelink, one of the sporty spices from GirlsLove2Run prefers to run to Shake that ass bitch by Splack Pack and Higherground by TNGHT.
Annette Lavrijsen is editor in chief of Woman’s Health Magazine. You understand that with such a job she often stands on the treadmill or hangs out at the gym with weights. I received an endlessly long text message with her favorite tracks. Wonderful, immediately dropped everything into my Spotify list. “After a long workday, I need upbeat tracks that give me new energy again. For example, Audio Bullys – 100 Million or Fritz Kalkbrenner – Sky and Sand. My guilty pleasure for the adrenaline work-out is One Direction with ‘One way or another’. Also fun during a long-distance run is to put on an audiobook.” Look, I think that's a nice tip. “Just make sure you hear the speaker beforehand, because what if you don't like the voice.”
Well, I'm starting tomorrow with a fresh music list. You too?
