ONE, TWO, THREE AND LAUGH

Now that we are all Instagramming, Facebooking, and Pinteresting our way through life, we also have higher demands for images. It's naturally a competition because you want even more beautiful images and posts than anyone else. Right? Sometimes an iPhone and fourteen apps with good filters just aren't enough anymore. Moreover, if I may speak for myself, I sometimes find it a bit unprofessional to be snapping pictures with my iPhone at an important event. And I find my professional camera not very glamorous, it's just too big.

Nice little camera

Problems, problems, problems. But there seems to be a solution for that. Olympus has a camera with a great vintage look that you can carry very stylishly as a crossbody, almost like a handbag. And of course, it takes photos that are qualitatively extremely different from regular mobile work. It has all sorts of easy-to-use options that allow you to choose different colors, depths, and so on.

From Lieke to Liza and Lauren

That had to be celebrated. So hipster Amsterdam came together with early adopting famous ladies like Lieke van Lexmond, Beertje van Beers, Liza Sips, Sanne Vogel, and Lauren Verster at Spuistraat 172 where both nice drinks and finger food were served and where you could listen to DJ Bella Hay (good guess, the daughter of king Barry Hay) and of course take loads of photos. Snapping and being snapped, that was the motto. In Spuistraat, there is an exhibition with all kinds of great backgrounds and props with which you can make the most impressive photos.

You can also go because the gates of Spuistraat are still open for you until July 13. Olympus Photography Playground, Spuistraat 172, Amsterdam.
