Peggy’s Pages:
This autumn
With a stack of extra thick September glossies packed with the new winter collections and a hint of autumn, my fashion heart is seriously about to race. Yes, I suddenly can't stand those summer outfits that I was so excited about just half a year ago. An ankle-length concealing XL tweed coat from Isabel Marant is at the top of my list, but with September and October around the corner, I'm currently opting for a look that's a bit more suitable for in between seasons.
My must-haves for the upcoming autumn are:
At number 1: the poncho from Burberry Prorsum. Unfortunately not with my own logo, like the models who walked the show. A blanket poncho really goes with everything, so it's multifunctional. www.netaporter.com
Honestly, I find the boots a bit tricky this season. For now, I've set my sights on the open pumps from Olivia Palermo that she sells in collaboration with Aquazurra starting September 12 on www.netaporter.com. Just a little longer to wait...
I'm in love with large knitted sweaters. It's fantastic that so many designers have them in their collection this autumn. Knits are really a trend. The army green mohair sweater from Isabel Marant is just right. Nice and casual and comfortable over jeans or a pencil skirt. Army green is a color you can't ignore, and moreover, the mohair of the sweater is super soft.
I'm really looking forward to a no-nonsense bag. Practical and without unnecessary bells and whistles. The Roseau model from Longchamp fits perfectly into that picture. I choose the larger model to carry magazines and my laptop with me.
Every season I “refresh” my jeans. For a few seasons now, I've been addicted to Current Elliott. The denim feels nice and the fit is perfect. They sell the brand at De Bijenkorf. I think I'm going for the boyfriend model with slightly short legs.
Irresistible and a fashionable must for this autumn: a statement earring. Both the one from Louis Vuitton and a more striking version from Céline... I can't (yet) choose. For clarity: you wear it on just one side.
Okay, this is just a start. I'm sure this must-have list will get a little longer. I'll keep you updated....
