There are types who already switch to a complete update of their autumn and winter wardrobe in July. Even though they can't wear it for a long time, they still buy it, because just imagine if it's sold out by the time you want to wear it... Well... I am not that kind of girl.
First of all because I have a real hatred for cold and try to avoid wearing thick, all-covering clothes for as long as possible. Tights I really find a necessary evil. Only when the weather really doesn't allow me to walk with bare legs anymore, do I give in. And I would rather have my toes freeze off than be caught wearing a pantyhose knee sock. Besides, the vast majority of my collection consists of in-between seasons clothes.
Actually, only at the end of October, beginning of November do I start worrying about the cold that is coming and begin updating my winter wardrobe. The big advantage of shopping a bit later in the season means, in my case, that I have been able to make my choice for my look a bit more definitive, have been able to let trends sink in a bit, and am less quickly tempted by impulses. laat verleiden.
Voilà, this is my list for the coming winter
1.
First of all, a (fun) fur-lined army green parka. Hip-length and of course with a hood. I actually planned to buy one last year but have only now really found the perfect example (at Buize in the Cornelis Schuytstraat and Centre Neuf in the Utrechtsestraat)
2.
Large wool, preferably cashmere, wrap scarf. Type poncho. Not that I don't have one yet, but I think it's time for a current color.
3.
Classic gray and camel turtleneck. Sorry, but again preferably in cashmere. I saw a nice gray piece at &Other Stories.
4.
A fresh pair of skinny jeans that I can wear with my boots and can easily combine with oversized thick sweaters.
5.
Knitted dress from The Row's collection, the one with the huge collar. Or actually
preferably everything from that collection. You can buy it at Azurro Due in the PC Hooftstraat or at NetaPorter.com.
6.
Booties in fur from Isabel Marant. To be honest, not really because I think they are so great, but because I have planned Christmas in Chicago and it will be freezing cold by then. So I'd rather step in the snow a bit fashionably, right?
