Essie Nail Polish

On a day like today, talking about nail polish colors feels like a far-off show, but it is indeed a soothing task. That's why I painted my nails today in a nude color. Fitting for the day, fitting for my mood.

I use quite a few different brands of nail polish, but Essie is definitely a very nice one. The brand itself goes long-way-back. A colorful history, as Essie Weingarten herself calls it. Essie Weingarten is the lady behind the brand. The first collection dates back to 1981, where she presented three polishes. With a diploma from the New York Fashion Institute in hand, she invests $10,000 in her first colors and heads to Las Vegas. Las Vegas? Yes, the city where thousands of waitresses and dancers want to have perfect nails. It worked and became a success.

Every year, a number of colors are added. They apply wonderfully. A perfect brush that covers your nail immediately. Not too thick, not too thin. Everything about it is just right. The names are amusing. Sugar Daddy, which was sent to us on Father's Day, Meet me at sunset, a beautiful orange color, or beach bum blue that makes you want to dive into a clear blue sea right away. My favorite? Prima Ballerina, a lovely light pink color that always makes your hands look tanner and ensures you never appear unkempt for the day.

Oh yes, are you not so great at applying polish yourself? Then take a look at the Essie website. With her tips & tricks, you'll never go wrong again.
