Take of Jet's heart

Yes hello, this is the proud little sister of the country speaking. Last night I squeezed myself into a black DKNY dress (scored a week ago at outnet.com and just in time had it tailored at the tailor) for the premiere of the film Take of My Heart. I wore shoes with black and red hearts and a golden heel from DvF. I had my hair done at The Building, my nails had OPI gel polish and my eyelashes were fake for 80%. All for my brother (and okay, also for that red carpet).

My grandfather borrowed a tuxedo from the neighbor, my grandmother wore a beautiful dark green blouse from Frank Govers, my mother wore an Alexander McQueen dress in off-white and Kees was dressed in Dior. Everyone looked so beautiful, nothing could go wrong. And it didn't. You understand that the sister is speaking here, so this will be an incredibly cheesy and only praise message.

With screeching tires, I was in the car with my father on the way to the JT cinema in Hilversum. He was already presenting his broadcast in a tuxedo so we could jump into the car right away. There was a bottle of cold white wine waiting for me in the seat pocket. I can tell you, before we arrived in Hillywood, it was empty. I could use that to somewhat relax while walking the red carpet. Luckily, I managed.

We were in hall 1. Row 7, with the whole family. In the row behind me sat Kees with the whole cast. Half a year ago I already got a sneak preview of the film, so I knew it would be a hit. There was also a lot of loud laughter. By the way, my parents laughed the loudest. Of course, there was huge applause and cheering during the credits and I Woehoe-ed it out. To which my father softly said: “Jet, act normal,” but I couldn't help it.

Afterwards, the whole cast was allowed to come forward, everyone received flowers and Kees spoke sweetly to them all. Oh, there he stood, my dear brother, I heard a tremor but also relief in his voice. Chantal, Benja, Fedja, Halina beamed with pride at him again.

High time for a drink and a bite to eat (dinner didn't really work out due to the excitement). I danced until 1 o'clock in my super high heels, I admit that I walked to the taxi barefoot. I couldn't anymore. Did I already mention that I am the proud little sister of the country? Now I will stop.
