As soon as a ray of sun appears, the terraces are packed. Every week I join someone. Terrace birds Anne and Nina (they come from Roermond and were in the mood for a day in Amsterdam) I spotted at Morlang, on the Keizersgracht. In the sun, of course.

What are you guys talking about?

‘About arrogant boys at the hockey club. They think we are very arrogant, but we don’t understand that at all. We are really nice.’

What's in the glass?

‘Now we are drinking Rosé, one is a bit sweeter than the other.’

Is that your favorite summer drink?

‘No, that’s Aperol Spritz’

What is your terrace gear?

‘A long airy skirt, sunglasses, and a little hat. Lots of accessories are also allowed this summer.’

 Best terrace tip in Amsterdam?

‘All the terraces in the nine streets are nice. We avoid the Kalverstraat.’
