She runs one of the most happening PR agencies in Amsterdam and is also a part-time DJ as Cat Carpenters. From now on, she will share her favorite playlist with you every Friday. But what does her own weekend actually look like?
Tell me, how was your week?
“Oh, let me check my calendar, it was a madhouse. On Monday, I had a nice dinner with friends. On Tuesday morning, I was at the concert hall for the preparations for the Red Bull Soundclash. So cool to see a completely empty and quiet hall. On Wednesday and Thursday, I had dinner at Lion Noir, which is really my favorite restaurant. They have super delicious cocktails there. I always get a Pornstar Martini and the duck for dinner. This morning, I had a nice meeting at the Waldorf Hotel with the ladies from Marie Claire and with Danie Bles. They have a beautiful garden there, but unfortunately, we had to whisper and we weren't allowed to drink wine there.’
How are you kicking off the weekend today?
“I'm still working hard behind my computer, but soon we'll set the tables outside, turn on the music, and drink vodka apple juice.”
Sounds lovely, what does your day look like tomorrow?
“Then I'll be very well-behaved at the concert hall for a classical Disney concert and for the rest, just chilling, because on Sunday we're leaving for Ibiza for a week of vacation.”
Oh, so you must have a bit of packing stress?
“No, not at all. I just throw two pairs of pants, six dresses, and two bikinis in my bag. Oh yes, and my laptop, that's very important. I just want to be reachable and able to answer my emails.”
So, will you be lounging by the pool all day and going to bed early?
“We're also going to parties. Disclosure is going to play there, and I'll be Shazamming all night. They are coming with all new songs, so they'll go straight into my playlist and on the turntable for our own parties.”
Do you have any favorite spots in Ibiza?
“You can have a lovely lunch at La Paloma. El Chiringuito is a super beach bar, and La Dalias is the best hippie market.”
What’s in your glass this summer?
“Smirnoff vodka Red Bull, my favorite.”
