It was quite a festive week for Vivian Reijs. Her mother turned 60, VivOnline celebrated its first anniversary, and of course, there was football. So, many glasses of wine were consumed. Let's ask how she feels and what she's going to do this weekend.
Tell me, how was your week?
Last weekend, I was with family in Paris. My mother turned 60, and we celebrated with lunch at Hotel Costes. I chose the eclairs (a pastry with pastry cream and glaze), it was delicious. We strolled through the Marais and on Friday, we watched the match in a very small pub, everyone in orange, so cozy. I'm really not a typical woman during the match, you know. I'm super enthusiastic and find it so exciting. Furthermore, this week marked VivOnline 1 year, and we celebrated that at Bar Moustache in Amsterdam. Champagne and a table full of treats. Vitello tonato and burrata, but especially a lot of desserts. I really ate a kilo of sugar and drank a lot of alcohol this week. And then we also watched football at my place last Wednesday with Thai food and wine.
Oopsie, you must be feeling a bit rough then? Full on detox now?
No, not at all. I'm not regretting it at all, but I will take it a bit easier in the coming days. I have started every morning with all my supplements and green smoothie, and I really don't gain weight quickly, but I notice that I get very tired from all the sugar. So, just taking it easy for a few days.
So you're not starting the weekend today with a glass of wine?
I still have a school musical of my daughter at her school first, but tonight I'll be in bed by 9 with a DVD.
What does your weekend look like otherwise?
Tomorrow, I think I'm going to have lunch somewhere with friends in Amsterdam, and on Sunday, I have an event from Beau Monde. Together with my VivOnline team, I give advice on healthy eating.
Do you have any fun plans in sight with the site?
We have stepped back a bit from the magazine and are going to focus more on challenges. This week, for example, we are working on the ‘jump challenge’. Jumping every day for a month. That can be done with a jump rope, trampoline, or during a run. We encourage everyone who participates daily and give advice where needed. Next month, we are going gluten-free. We will also provide delicious recipes. I notice that people appreciate support and motivation from others. That can be found at VivOnline, because we do it together.
What a good idea. I will join you once. Is there any nice music played during that jumping?
I'm really a radio listener. Especially 538 or Q Music. I always like Coldplay. I'm also completely crazy about the song by Anouk ft Afro Jack, You & I. Maybe not really for jumping, but great for in the car.
And what time does the alarm go off on Monday?
7 o'clock, as always. Then my daughter has to go to school.
