This is how you camouflage a pimple
Whenever you want to look your best, you'll see that there's just a pimple in the way. A.L.W.A.Y.S. Unfortunately, it's not the case that they just disappear overnight. There are plenty of nice little remedies to apply, but most of them don't disappear within an hour. You're really fed up with it. So here it is. A short guide on how to solve it.
Get rid of it
This might sound a bit gross, but first check if the time is right to pop the pimple. We all know the scene from Costa where Georgina Verbaan has the pimple problem, and we don't want to be seen on the street like that. In fact, we'd rather stay under the blanket all day. It's often said that popping isn't an option, but it just depends on the moment. So you need to become an expert in that first. The good thing about popping is that the pus is gone and the biggest swelling also goes down within an hour. After that, you should treat the pimple with a product containing salicylic acid (Clinique, Avene, and Paula’s Choice have good pimple products). These products help reduce inflammation, disinfect, and also ensure that no new pimples pop up.
Seek cover
Now, makeup can actually do a pretty good job too. Make sure your skin is well-hydrated at the base. This also applies to the pimple. Makeup never looks good on dry patches, so this problem is no exception. So, let's get started with a day cream.
First, start with a good foundation. Do keep in mind. Keep it natural. The more coverage and the darker it is, the more the pimple will stand out. You don't want that. Apply it with your fingertips for a nice but natural result.
Next, use a mattifying concealer. Of course, in exactly the same color as your skin, because light or dark will only accentuate the pimple. Choose a good liquid concealer because it blends well into the rest of your skin. After all, you want an even result. With a concealer brush or your finger, apply a small amount of concealer to the center of the pimple. Then gently rub it outward to create an even coverage. This way, the pimple is almost invisible. Just wait a minute. Foundation and concealer always need a little time before they take on the right color and show their effect. If you still don't see a difference after a minute, apply another layer.
After the foundation and concealer (concealer alone can work too), use a powder that mattifies. It gives a natural finish, even over the pimple. It's best to choose a mineral powder. The advantage of that is that it doesn't clog the pores.
Finally, spray everything with a nourishing and hydrating water spray. This way, you hydrate your face immediately, but also set the makeup. At least you won't have to worry about your pimple anymore. Really. It's gone.
