Anyone who follows me on Instagram knows that I had a really tough time a few weeks ago because I suddenly got it into my head that I wanted these Givenchy boots. A rather expensive whim, but those boots were deep, DEEP in my head and in my heart, I HAD to have them. A total decision vacuum was the result because hello, spending so much money on a pair of boots, that just can't be right? I tried them on 15 times, again and again and again. Until one afternoon I took my very down-to-earth and smart friend who, when I was fluttering around the store, love-struck and desperate, pointed out that I really can't ride a bike with these things. Eand then the problem was solved, off went the boots. I have no use for something I can't ride a bike with. The money I saved by not buying them (yes, that's how it works) I spent almost immediately after on a ticket to Brazil so, all's well that ends well.
(But secretly I still want them. Dammit.)
