Code Red

There is something about the color red. A red dress represents success, sex, and class. A red coat, on the other hand (just look around), is the mecca of aging mothers, social workers, and PVDA or SP canvassers. You might as well skip the red shoe (that immediately makes me think of a King Louis dress and a flower-covered grandma bike). The red bag, however... that is zum haben. And incredibly trendy.

Because red is quite striking, I advise keeping the material a bit rough. Opt for a texture, a piece in leather, or a somewhat faded red color. The combination of red and patent leather should be avoided at all times.
