A month ago I wrote about the products of Dermalogica. A brand that aims to improve the skin with its products. The ingredients contain no alcohol, perfume, or other distracting nonsense. Products in their purest form. Even better: it does everything your skin is missing and makes your skin look its best. Look, that's what I want.
Before I started using the products from Dermalogica, I had to go to a beauty salon where I underwent a facemapping. My face was divided into 14 different zones, and each zone was thoroughly analyzed by the expert. I visited Guido from Zin by Guido, who told me everything about my own skin, but also made connections between characteristics. He really saw that I was a sweet tooth, which manifested in some impurities, that I wasn't drinking enough because my skin is dry in some places, and that I really need to hydrate a lot to avoid wrinkles in the future. Quite confronting, but well, for a nice skin I am willing to give up quite a bit. So I immediately stopped snacking, started drinking much more, and of course, I began to diligently apply the products.

From the facemapping, I received various products. For the evening, the PreCleanse, an oil that absorbs sebum and thus reduces impurities. Every morning and evening the Special Cleansing Gel, which removes all makeup residues and cleanses the skin extra thoroughly. For morning and evening, I also received a Multi-active toner and Intensive Moisture Balance, both of which give the skin a significant hydration boost. As an extra, I also have to use the Intensive Eye Repair in the morning to nourish the thin skin under the eyes and ultimately combat fine lines and wrinkles.
At first, it took some getting used to using the products. I mean, you have your ritual and your favorites, but for the ultimate test effect, I naturally set that aside. But I am enthusiastic. The products are incredibly mild and therefore feel very soft on the skin. They don't sting, and you immediately feel that it works well. Normally, I'm not so fond of oil because it's often so liquid that it ends up everywhere you don't want it. But this one is a bit thicker, allowing you to apply it just where you want it to work on your face. I'm very enthusiastic about the Special Cleansing Gel. You really only need a drop to thoroughly cleanse your entire face. And it's so incredibly gentle on the skin! The same story actually goes for the Moisture Balance. A small dollop of cream and you can apply it well all over your face. The nice thing is that you don't feel like you need to grab the tube again after two hours because your skin doesn't feel tight. Especially a relief this winter, where everything is already so dry. It might also be due to the Multi-active toner that you use beforehand. That's a spray that adds extra ‘moisture’ to the skin.

After I faithfully followed the plan for a month, my skin has really improved. I think I'm still in the process of improvement because I notice that my skin is getting better and better. At first, it was a bit of a struggle because I had to get used to the new products, and it seems like the skin has to work hard to adapt to the products. After about two weeks, you really notice a difference. The skin works, the products are well absorbed, and you see that the skin is less dry and has a healthy glow. So I will definitely continue with the products for a while because I can't wait until the result is truly optimal.
