Laughing with Anna Wintour. It’s possible!
Now that the MET Gala is over and we all have to get back to our lives, it’s extra nice that there is something like the Internet where people often linger a bit longer on things. Last week I came across two videos on my favorite site Daily Mail (favorite site after Amayzine of course, duh) that I don’t want to withhold from you.
First up is the sneaky video that Cynthia Rowley made. The American designer hid a GoPro camera in her clutch and was able to capture unique footage inside the Gala. Admittedly, they’re not very shocking, we had hoped for at least more sleaze and dirt, but still quite entertaining to watch. Whether Miss Wintour can appreciate this joke, I doubt, so I don’t think there’s a chance Cynthia will pull off such a prank again next year. Say goodbye to your invitation.
Although, she seems quite relaxed at the moment. Together with co-chair Sarah Jessica Parker, she appeared on the show Late Night With Seth Meyers and, shock and horror, she looked just like a human! With feelings! And humor! And other scary emotions and stuff! Her daughter Bee Shaffer is a producer on the show, so maybe maternal love manages to transcend all creepiness after all. The two talk about how especially the men had a hard time with the white tie dress code and joke around a lot. So who knows, maybe Cynthia will get the benefit of the doubt next year.
