MEN AND SCENTS

We all want to immerse ourselves in a nice scent that helps us get through a sticky and sweaty day. Men probably do too (at least we hope so). Research shows that we first look at a man's looks and then immediately move on to his scent. A bad smell quickly results in a downside, although there are also types for whom it doesn't matter what he smells like because sometimes looks just weigh heavier (not often, but still). And then there are men who are both incredibly handsome and smell great, because they are The Face of a Famous Scent. We mention a Michiel Huisman, who becomes the new face of Chanel No5. This brings us to the following: a list of five very attractive male beauties who have a past or present with a scent. Nice to smell, nice to look at, nice all the way.

1. Matthew McConaughey for Dolce & Gabbana

I fell in love immediately because of the movie ‘The Wedding Planner’. Then came the movie ‘How to lose a Guy in 10 days’ in which he was more charming than ever. However, my infatuation disappeared when Matthew appeared as a skinny little guy in The Wolf of Wallstreet. Yikes, I lost him. But well, when I see this video I get off my fickle little chair and want to jump into the classic car with him and make the streets of New York unsafe. Unfortunately, Scarlett has taken my spot, but if there’s still a place in the back seat, or even the trunk, I would gladly take that spot.

2. Jude Law for Dior Homme Sport

Proof why Jude Law is more than a well-chosen face for Dior Homme Sport? Click here, here and here. That first video, directed by Guy Richie, is five minutes and ten seconds of pure staring and listening. That voice. That voice! In that second video, my favorite, it’s of course wonderful to see him laugh, act a bit silly (the goof) and ultimately do a little striptease. I said it, nice all the way.

3. Michiel Huisman for CHANEL NO5

Brad Pitt went before him and now Michiel Huisman is taking over the baton.. Dutch glory. It has already been proven that his international career has been fruitful. I mention a Game of Thrones. And now he gets to shine next to Brazil beauty Gisele Bündchen in CHANEL. I am really looking forward to the campaign that will be released in September. 

4. Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme

We always found Robert Pattinson a bit boring, but now he has suddenly become a divine picture. In terms of looks, there wasn’t much to criticize, but there was a total lack of sex in Twilight. DIOR changed that. I found it quite a surprising choice for DIOR, but when I this video saw it, I understood it. Robert has charisma, sex, and humor. In other words, the holy trinity. Hallelujah.

5. Gerard Butler for Boss Bottled

Today it has been announced that Gerard Butler is the new face of BOSS BOTTLED. He thinks he fits quite well with the classic look of the brand with a modern twist. I agree, and with that touch of charm and humor, it will surely be an amazing TV campaign.
