WHAT DOES THE MAN WANT?
I'm putting aside the Mother's Day chaos for a moment, we're now going to focus on the men. The question: ‘What should I buy him this time?’ comes up so often among my friends. I once did a guy a huge favor with a hard drive, but yeah, I thought that was a really dumb gift. It's especially nice to give something that you also benefit from. A shirt, for example. Nice for you to see him walking around in it and to quickly throw it on yourself when you get out of bed (sorry, I've seen too many romantic movies).
Is your boy's birthday coming up soon or do you just feel like giving him something nice? With these items, you'll definitely score points. Here they come:
- A juice pack for his mobile. Sounds a bit boring (just like that hard drive), but I recently made quite an impression with it on him. It's a case for your iPhone that is also a battery. Also nice; he will always be reachable for you, ‘sorry babe, my battery was dead’ you'll never hear that again. Also super handy to borrow from him once in a while.
- A perfume. It's a bit cliché, but I'm going to recommend a scent that I fell in love with the moment I smelled it. Really the best scent ever. And I'm sure he'll think it's amazing too. The Dior Homme Cologne.
– I don't really like men with a thick wallet in their back pocket. Even a bit of a turn-off. Coins should just be loose in the pocket along with a small folder for cards or a money clip. Perfect gift then. You can easily buy that at H&M or Zara, but even better (and more special) is from a nice brand like Mont Blanc, Hermès, or Tod’s. Costs a bit, but he can use it his whole life.
- A subscription to Voetbal International. Or if he loves cars, ‘AutoWeek’ or something. Excuse me, I was just talking about gifts that you also find nice. I understand that you will never open such a magazine, but if he reads, you can relax with a newspaper or surf for an hour on amayzine.com, without getting the comment that the phone needs to go away.
- A nice pair of Nike sneakers. Even cooler is to design them yourself on Nikeid.com. You can also have a name printed on the tongue of the shoe. Your own name, for example. No, that's too cheesy sorry.
- A shower radio. Great for yourself too. Just be careful not to stay in there even longer in the morning.
– A pair of swim shorts. Also cool that you can decide what he wears on the beach this summer. I really don't like those way too long swim shorts (with pockets on the side) from Brunotti or Quiksilver. At The Beehive there are many nice sexy short (not too short) shorts in all bright colors.
