Honestly, we will share everything

– but these 6 makeup products preferably not –

We really understand that you once forgot your mascara at work and had to borrow one from a colleague (we know it). We really understand that a lip balm also has a nice shareability. We also understand that you might grab a razor from a date to tidy things up a bit. The point is: Don't. Do. It. And here's why:

Eye makeup

A mascara, an eye-liner... These are all things you can quickly grab from someone's toiletry bag. It might be okay, but it could also be that someone has had an eye infection. That person might not be suffering from it anymore, but the bacteria are still on the product. An inflamed eye is then quite close.

 Razor blades

Well, you don't know where that razor has been, so you should really think twice beforehand. But even then. Razors can also cause cuts or moisture bumps that burst. That all stays on the razor, whether you clean it or not. Fine for yourself, but not to borrow from someone else.

 Tweezers

See point two. It's actually a bit gross when you think about it like that.

Makeup brushes

Makeup brushes are a kind of breeding ground for bacteria. Now I really sound like a beautician, but hey, it's true. Bacteria grow on warm, moist spots, so they find brushes particularly cozy. That's why it's both very important to clean your brushes well for yourself and you just shouldn't borrow them from someone else.

Cream pots

In general, cream pots are not very hygienic. You put your hands in them every day, and hands carry bacteria. Logical. A pump works much nicer, and that way no oxygen can get in. Now, a cream pot that you keep for yourself isn't so bad, because you can handle your own bacteria much better. If you use someone else's, it might be okay for a dab, but do wash your hands first. That's only polite to the person you're borrowing it from.

Lip gloss

You eat every day, you kiss your love goodbye, you drink who knows what, so you understand that your mouth is a source of bacteria. No further explanation needed, I assume?
