A good night's sleep means a shiny morning – Pure Me

Last week I took on the challenge for Pure Leaf (a new iced tea, brewed from real tea leaves), by not having to rush in the morning and establishing a nice routine. I can tell you it's going quite well.. Relaxed mornings are preceded by good and restful nights. If you go to bed stressed, you usually don't wake up feeling great either. So, it's again my challenge to adjust my evening ritual to ensure a good night's sleep and therefore a fantastic morning. This naturally includes the necessary checklist and do’s and don’ts that I need to really take to heart. Will you join me?

Do's

Read a book.

Take a warm shower or bath.

Remove all your makeup. At least, I always find that very nice. It also saves time in the morning, by the way.

Counting sheep doesn't help, it's better to consciously breathe in and out. Count your inhalations and exhalations, this has a calming effect.

Magnesium pills help relax your muscles and promote a good night's sleep. I always take those. Whether it works or not, it does the trick.

Don'ts

Watching TV or working on your computer. The light keeps you awake. Oh, this is a challenge for me.

Don't drink coffee or cola. That will wake you up.

Don't eat right before going to sleep.

Don't make your bedroom too warm, open a window for fresh air.

I must say it has gone quite easily for me and I have really enjoyed it. Especially looking less at my phone or laptop right before going to sleep was a challenge, but I succeeded. It's really nice to live a bit more consciously. So thank you Pure Leaf for this #PureMe challenge, I could not have done this never on my own.

Have you all tasted Pure Leaf? It's really a delicious drink for when you want to live well and responsibly. Share your moment with #PureMe #PureLeafNL.
