Most genius app ever

As you may know, I prefer to go through life au naturel. Although I do find it quite fun to try out a new look every now and then. A couple of weeks ago, Wim Thompson from Dior conjured up a set of smokey eyes on me. So I’m up for it, but I need to be sure beforehand that it looks somewhat okay before I walk out the door. Ha, here it is; the Makeup Genius app from L’Oréal Paris.

It’s a virtual makeup app where you can try out makeup looks without having to buy anything or spend hours struggling in front of the mirror. Now, there are several apps where you can choose for the necessary metamorphosis, but since everyone is so enthusiastic about this one, I had to put it to the test.

You understand that I quickly got the hang of it and entertained myself for over an hour

It works like this. You hold your phone in selfie mode and then click on the products that you like or are curious about. I was curious about a good smokey eye, a perfect eyeliner, and a red lip, so voila, I had that on my face within three clicks. And it looked good too. Because even if you wink or blow a kiss to the camera, the lipstick moves along with you. You understand that I quickly got the hang of it and entertained myself for over an hour (sorry colleagues!) with blue eyeliners, pink lipsticks, and smokey rainbow colors. If you’re happy with your look, you can throw the products directly into your shopping cart to have them at home the next day. I say about all this; genius.
